Wendell Robie spent his final years seeking a suitable site for an equestrian staging area. The Robie Foundation bought 160 acres between Lake Tahoe and Truckee and spent over $400000 on improvements over the last 15 years. The park opened last fall. Construction is scheduled to begin this winter.
